Erica Rose Gonzalez Melendez
Erica Gonzalez-Melendez is an alumnus of Arizona State University with a B.A. in Mathematics in 1994 and a Juries Doctorate from the College of Law in 2000. Prior to working for Snow and Carpio, she worked as a Prosecutor for the City of Phoenix and as an Assistant Attorney General for the Arizona Attorney General's Office in the Medicaid Fraud Control Unit. Prior to becoming an attorney, Erica was a High school Math teacher.
Erica has demonstrated a long-standing commitment to the community through her service to various organizations over the years. Currently she is a board member for Chicanos Por La Causa. Erica is also active at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, a church in the South Central Phoenix. She has served on their pastoral council. Currently she volunteers by writing grants to fund church programs and serves as a lector. Recently, Erica received the Daniel R. Ortega Public Service Award from Valle del Sol's Hispanic Leadership Institute. She has also been honored for her years of service to Los Abogados.
